Auriculotherapy: Ear Acupuncture:
Ear Acupuncture is helpful as an Adjunctive treatment. (Booster or supportive treatment)It is rarely used alone. Small metal beads are placed on specific areas on and around the ear.
These beads are held in place by a small adhesive "band-aid" like material. Nothing is ever placed inside the ear canal. These beads can be worn for a few hours, or up to 2 days. Auriculotherapy is a "microsystem" style of acupuncture. See the illustration for some of the more common "Auriculotherapy Points"
